WHAT IS THE SOCIAL IMPACT OF GALGUERA GOMEZ?

Our purpose is to support our producers by providing training, technical support and fair payments so that they obtain a high quality harvest, in order to ensure sustainable development of each of the coffee regions; directly benefiting the local economy.

We achieve this by:

Generating a long term relationship with the producers
Buying the total harvest
The payment granted is under a fair payment scheme
Immediate payment on delivery of the product
We provide constant training

For Galguera Gómez the preservation of nature is important; for that reason, all the coffee plants we work with are native to each region. These actions ensure that the soil continues to conserve its nutrients and does not compromise the local flora (which serves as a habitat for the region's fauna), thus achieving the preservation of the ecosystems and generating a low environmental impact.

I have been dedicated to coffee production since my youth, I have a lot of love for my work and the land. The process involves a lot of effort, it seems easy, but there are many steps. It makes me very happy to know that all the effort I put into each harvest is recognized, valued, and above all, paid for at a fair price. For me, Galguera Gómez represents an opportunity to provide a living for my family.

For as long as I can remember, I used to come along with my grandfather to the coffee fields. Things were different then, the work has always been hard, but now thanks to the training and support we receive from Galguera Gómez, things can be more efficient because we are prepared. The love for the land is the same, but the techniques are new now.

My village used to be a place full of coffee producers, who gradually retired from that work, due to the low pay. Until Galguera Gómez arrived, they brought back the trust to everyone. They pay us fairly for our entire harvest, which helps us as a population to go on and have a source of income.
